3 Tips for Your Images

Which of these images best represents safe and secure to you?

Ever wonder what types of images to use when presenting? Picking the right images cannot only add to your presentation, but can also influence how your audience perceives you and your presentation. There’s a lot that goes into picking the right images – meaning, color, shape, and more. Finding good ones can take hours – hours that you don’t have.

Use these 3 tips next time you want to spice up your presentation with good images:

  1. Transparency – Use images with rounded edges over a transparent background when putting an image on anything that’s not white. If you don’t, your image can have a white border, distracting from the image itself and making you look less professional.
  2. Outside the box – Sometimes it can be good to pick an image that illustrates your point in a straightforward way but other times you might want to think outside of the box. This can help keep your audience engaged and thinking.
  3. Pop – Just like with fashion, people often think it best to use matching colors, causing them to pick images that coincide with the color scheme of their PowerPoint or other tool. Picking an image with vibrant colors that don’t match your color scheme can actually make your image “pop.” It’s good to make important images “pop” as it draws more attention to them, illustrating an increased level of importance to your audience.

Don’t let bad images give you a bad image!

Contact Jillian Bruni, MBA at jillian@lmrcenter.com or 858-753-1775 and let me help you make your presentation stand out with the right images! Not only can your presentation be edited starting at only $199.99/hr, but your entire presentation can be created for you starting at only $249.99/hr. Also, as part of a special collaborative relationship, custom images can be created by an in-house graphic designer at Instant App Coder starting at only $65/hr.
